We meet at Dunnington Reading Rooms on a monthly basis. Start/end times will vary depending on activity
Basic materials will be provided for beginners but please bring along an old towel and, if you have it, your felting kit
Please note that for sessions with invited external tutors bookings will open one month before the workshop.
First visit free, £5 for non-members.

York Feltmakers Programme 2018 Dates and Timings
We normally, but not always, meet on the 3rd Saturday of the month.
Workshop bookings are open 1 month in advance.
The small hall will always be open for the full day for members not doing the workshop

Hear about felt making experiences this year and think about the way forward. You are invited to bring along a contribution towards a shared lunch.

Skill Share: Galina Titova, Infinity Scarf with fringe
Galina will show layout and felting techniques to make a small infinity scarf or loop with a fringe on the side.
17th March

Jean Drysdale: Surface Structures
Using templates we will create decorative relief for accessories or wall art. Workshop charges will apply.

AGM and Janineís Jewellery Challenge!
Come with ideas and try the challenge! YFM will provide felting bags filled with tempting materials. A small donation would be welcomed towards our late friend Janineís chosen charities.

Linda Hume: Wire in the Wool
Linda will be teaching her technique of using wire within felt to produce a variety of 3D sculptural forms. She is known for her beaded bowls, sculptures and unusual lampshades Workshop charges will apply.

Get away from it all and felt in lovely surroundings.

Anne will be showing how to combine two and three dimensional techniques in felt.

Margaret Chalmers will be showing some interesting new ideas for our felt making.

Workshop: Valerie Wartelle, The Finest of Landscapes
Valerie will be showing how to create exquisite landscapes using her distinctive techniques using fine thread and layering. Workshop charges will apply.

Skill Share: Polly Gibson & Julie Lane, Light Fantastic
Using felt with light in mind to brighten up winter darkness. Fairy lights, candle lights, lamps ...take your pick!

Winter Wonderland
Take a pack of wintry sparkles and see what you can make on a winterís afternoon. A pack of goodies will be provided not to mention the mince pies!
